Nourish Your Body

While you’re asking your doctor one million questions about feeding your baby, have you thought about how you’re going to feed yourself? We always hear the term “eating for two” when you’re pregnant, but did you know should consume around 500 extra calories while you’re breastfeeding? At MKT we don’t count calories, but we do believe that food is fuel and that’s why it’s so important to nourish your body properly once you come home with your baby. Chef & momma (co-founder of MKT), Willy Anderson, has designed a meal program that will give you energy, promote healthy lactation, and fill you up without weighing you down. Fully prepared, ready to eat, healthy meals, delivered right to your door. Need a midnight snack while you’re nursing your baby for what seems like the one millionth time? We have you covered there too.

Strengthen Your Core

Around week 6 you’ll get the ‘OK’ from your doctor that you are cleared to resume your normal activity. In theory that sounds great however, this new body of yours needs nurturing, patience and lots and lots of love. Some people are able to jump right back in to whatever their activities were pre-pregnancy, but we’re here to get you in touch with your new, post pregnancy body, and this all starts with your core & your pelvic floor. Amanda Schoppe, New York City Rockette alum & Wellness Coach (co-founder of MKT) is here to help. After an initial chat about how you’re feeling, she will create time-saving, personalized and effective fitness routines that you can complete from the comfort of your home. We’ll have weekly check-ins to map your progress along with free access to our postnatal fitness classes - In case you need a little extra motivation.

Ease Your Mind

You’ll hear “fed is best” from your baby’s pediatrician a lot, but those words don’t remove the pressure, pain and frustration that can revolve around breastfeeding. The panic in googling “is this normal?” at 4am is real, and also something we want you to be able to avoid. We’ve teamed up with Cristina Toff (doula & lactation coach). After an initial check-in, Cristina will shed some light on the all-encompassing question “is this normal,” as well as provide tips and peace of mind when it comes to breastfeeding & pumping. Plus, you’ll gain free access to classes & workshops held in our Cafe in Carroll Gardens.
